Texas State Board Of Dental Examiners Still Require Dental Offices To Follow COVID Emergency Rules And Still Require Everyone To Wear A Mask Regardless Of Governor Ruling

As kids are now back in school after a long summer break full of fun, late nights, and unhealthy eating habits, now is the right time to get them to start some habits that you’ve been waiting to implement. Hence, here are some back-to-school dental tips.

Brush Their Teeth: One of the most important activities your kids should hang on to is brushing their teeth twice a day for at least 2 minutes every time with fluoride toothpaste. After day meals, when our kids are off to bed, the cavities in their mouth deteriorate the enamel on their teeth, causing their teeth to be prone to infection.

Then Floss Their Teeth: Once they’ve brushed their teeth, they need to use a string of dental floss and floss their teeth. Floss helps clean their teeth by removing those pieces of food that the brushing could not remove. This is a habit that will remain with them until they grow old.

Healthy Snacks: Make sure your kids have a healthy lunch at school. Avoid juices and boxed milk as they can be harmful to their teeth if consumed daily. Gummies, chocolates, and candies are a complete no-go for them. Try veggies and dairy products that can keep their mouth safe from bacterias.

One of the most common practices you can do is introduce one habit at a time. It could be once per week or so to slowly and gradually have your kid implement it.
